HDR images with the GIMP plugin

GIMP HDR So-called HDR (High Dynamic Range) images digital pictures, which are a very large difference in brightness can store detail. Since most conventional digital cameras are not in a position to take such pictures, there are techniques that can create such images with a digital SLR camera and an image editor (eg GIMP).

This series of LDR exposure photos (Low Dynamic Range Image) is generated. These images are then combined with an image editing program to create an GIMP HDR image.

For creating HDR images using digital SLR cameras on the scene / subject to an exposure series is recorded. It is important that each image region is exposed at least once correctly. The generated LDR photographs must now be combined into an HDR image with GIMP. For this operation, it is a very simple yet ingenious HDR GIMP plugin that was created specifically for this task.
